Lecture formats 2019:

Lectures have a duration of 30 minutes incl. 5 minutes questionnaire. They can be held in German or English. Please note: Only papers that deal with technical, technological, standardization or user-related aspects of the topics mentioned will be accepted. Marketing-oriented posts are not accepted.

Workshops are highly practice-oriented hands-on seminars with active participation by the attendees. This is ideally implemented through practical exercises using instruction materials, tools, systems and inspection devices. Workshop instructors shall not cover the topic in theory only.

Basic Seminars:

  • Connectors – Key characteristics and terminology (Dr Helmut Katzier)
  • Fundamentals of contact physics (Dr Helge Schmid)
  • “The Connectarium” (Herbert Endres)
  • Plating surfaces for contact materials (Thomas Frey)
  • Copper and copper alloys and their surfaces (Stephan Groß)
